July Card Making

We are scheduled to have our next card making in a week. For this one, we are doing an Impossible card, a simple shaker card, and a shaped card.

First, the Impossible Card:

I had a Stampendous stamp that I have been wanting to use for a summer card. It was a single stamp, so I had to get creative to ink and stamp the individual sections so that I could cut and use the parts as I wanted. The mountain background is an older paper by Imaginisce

This next card uses a shaker pouch which you add to a card front. The pouch is supposed to be stamped, then you cut the opening with whatever shape die you choose, cover the opening with a clear piece of acetate, add the micro beads, then a stamped and colored image before closing it up. They were out of the stamp where I saw it at GASC, so I just made my own pouch with my Cameo instead, since it was essentially just a small, basic, square envelope. I wanted to use these circular stamps by Art Gone Wild, so I made the window to fit them. The phrase below the shaker pouch is from an older Close to My Heart stamp set. The background paper is by Pink Paislee and is called Summer Lights 12. I used the B side.

I used the large camper set from the recent Heartfelt Creations "Happy Camper" release to make the shaped card.  This is how the stamped image looks:

You can change the look a bit with a different window and door that are included in the set. Here is the card with the alternate door and window:

Inside I stamped "It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it i the journey that matters, in the end."
