Safari Swap

So, like a glutton for punishment, I had no sooner mailed off my Western swap items, when I decided to sign up for the Safari swap. However, I have some adorable Etsy AI designs that I have bought, and wanted to use. I think I am finally getting a better feel for how the swaps work, and what makes a good submission. Here is what I came up with and made last night:

Three of the four sentiments are from an older Graphic 45 stamp set with a safari theme. The sentiment on the lower left swap item is from a magazine that had stamp set included, and that I have had for years.

Western Swap 2

Since I had done a second possible swap item, I decided to see what I could do to improve it and use it. I added a tan background mat, and it made a big difference, more than I expected. So I signed up for 2 swap spots, and this is going to be for the second one of the two swaps. I made 4 of it.

Heartfelt Creations Everyday Heros Card

This wasn't the collection I'd hoped for (I was hoping for the By the Sea Collection, or one of the forest themed collections). It seems more suited to families who have or have had loved ones serve in the military. Those in my family who served have since passed away. However, I am trying to support the digital efforts of Heartfelt Creations, so I downloaded the papers and elements, as well as a stamp. I did put together a quick card front this morning. I wish I'd made the blue tag a bit bigger, but I didn't have time to do any more than this.

I haven't done much crafting lately. My husband ended up in the hospital, and I'm just thankful that he's doing better and is back home again.

Back to the collection.....the elements pack includes a gorgeous floral of blue roses, although I didn't use it on this card. I know that roses in real life aren't blue, but the digital ones are gorgeous, so I will have to make another card so that I can include them.
