Thank You Card for the Rehab staff

My husband came home from the rehab facility on the 13th. I made 2 identical cards early that morning. One was for the medical staff, the other for the Physical Therapy team. I used Queen & Co. Foundation dies, stamp set, and papers. It was an adaptation of the Hugs card that I posted relatively recently. I didn't have time to try to get creative and do something completely from scratch.

It's wonderful to have him home, but I am still struggling to find time to craft. He starts outpatient physical therapy tomorrow, so hopefully he will recover his strength and be more independent soon. He's worth every minute of the time I spend helping him, but it's been really frustrating for him to need so much help. I have also missed my crafting time.

2020 going into 2021

My husband needed a lumbar spinal fusion. It was originally supposed to happen in October, but got postponed when they discovered that he is diabetic. His back continued to deteriorate to the point that he was dependent on using a walker, and he was finally scheduled for the surgery a few days before Christmas. During recovery, the doctor was concerned that my husband might die of complications. They gave him a blood transfusion, and got him stable enough to send him to a rehab center. He is still in rehab, and that is where I am spending a lot of time as well.

I had been taking a break from crafting to work on organizing, but now I just don't have time or opportunity to craft or to organize, although that should be temporary. The doctors think that my husband will get to come home in 10 to 12 days. It may take a few days to a week more to get things the way he needs, but hopefully I will have an opportunity to get back to crafting in a few weeks or so.

I hope that 2021 is filled with blessings for you. Watching my husband on the road to recovery is definitely a huge blessing for me.
