Perhaps this doesn't really belong in my crafting blog since I didn't make it, but I took a photo of this necklace in the hopes that I could make a necklace similar to it.
I went with my daughter to a Park Lane event, where they were trying to recruit the guests. They were also showing the new jewelry, which is the main reason I was willing to go. They had drawings and Bingo, and we sat right before the table that held most of the prizes. This necklace immediately caught my eye because I loved the style, but also because it was the color my daughter had chosen for her wedding. I even pulled out the swatch of fabric from my purse to check. I asked if it was a necklace that could be purchased but was told it was from their vault, and could only be won that night. Since I couldn't buy it, and I very, very rarely win anything, I took a photo so that I could hopefully try to make a necklace like it later.
Person after person came up to pick a prize from the table throughout the evening as tickets were drawn and Bingo games won, and I thought surely someone would choose the necklace, but it stayed there all evening, tantalizing me. Perhaps it was too old fashioned for most of the gals there. Then, near the end, my ticket was drawn, I picked my prize from the table, and the beautiful necklace was mine!
And yes, I wore it as part of my wedding reception outfit a week later. It went perfectly with what I wore.

Wow, what an awesome story! And the necklace is just beautiful! Congratulations on winning it, *and* on your daughter's marriage! :)
